Queen of the Clouds: An Enchanting Prologue

This story begins, as most magical stories do, with Once Upon a Time....

There was a tiny baby girl born from the clouds. She was blessed by the queen of the cloud fairies, Queen Aolani, to be a princess. Every baby born of the clouds had a special calling. There were some called to be raised on planets in distant Solar Systems simply to teach the people there gentleness and kindness where worlds had given way to brutality. Others were born to build new clouds, and even though each were unique and had different jobs, the cloud children were all made of pure softness, and the essence of the cloud they were born from. And once every Thousand years The Queen of the fairies would find the brightest cloud and touch it with her fairy magic, instilling into the newborn leadership, and out of it would come a princess born to one day be the new Queen of the Clouds.
Every thousand years they worked in harmony.
Every thousand years nothing really changed.

        Would this millennium  be any different than the ones before it?
